Visión de la relación orgánica entre el cambio individual y el cambio social en los participantes del programa “Programa de Fortalecimiento de las Capacidades de Servicio en los Impulsores en Bienestar Rural” implementado en el municipio La Celia (Risaralda–Colombia)

Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextProducer: Universidad des Manizales 2017Online resources: Abstract: The study describes the perceptions that the participants in the pilot experience of the Program for Strengthening Service Capacities in Rural Welfare Boosters, in La Celia (Risaralda), are able to learn about the organic relationship between the processes of individual change and social change. Its purpose is to promote the development of attitudes and qualities that students need to be able to work more effectively with members of their community in their service projects. The program is aimed at students in the eighth and ninth grades of secondary basic education; and to the tenth and eleventh grades of middle school, participants in the alternative model of rural education generated by the Foundation for the Application and Teaching of Science (FUNDAEC), called the Tutorial Learning System (SAT), in which the axis around the which is built an integrated curriculum rather than a theme, activity or central issue, is the service to the community. The Program for Strengthening Service Capacities has as its medium fundamental a text entitled Unlocking the Potential of the Prejoven, material in development proposed by the Ruhí Institute, an allied entity of FUNDAEC, whose purpose is to develop human resources that, through a careful process of study, practice and reflection, become empowered to dedicate itself to the social, cultural and spiritual progress of humanity. The formation and development of this purpose supposes a clear and dynamic vision of the existing organic relationship between individual change and social change, which is why it is most important to establish this vision descriptively, identifying the various elements or ideas that constitute it, which helps to validate the material developed by the Institute Ruhí and to provide the tutors of the program with increasingly solid foundations to promote the beginning of social action by the students of the FUNDAEC SAT.
