An executive board was elected by the annual convention to run the day-to-day operations of the Bahá'í Temple Unity. After 1922, the Bahá'í Temple Unity's functions and temple property were gradually taken over by its successor, the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of the United States and Canada.
