500 _aHere are some recollections of a family who served as pioneers for the Bahá’í Faith. They became Bahá’is in 1964 in Sacramento, California and soon after left their homeland on a mission. But they were not missionaries as such. The Bahá’í Faith does not have a paid clergy. Bahá’is must make their own living wherever they are. Their journeys ended up taking them to seven different islands in the Caribbean over the course of more than 50 years. Frank died in St. Lucia on 5 December 2017. Pat, at 91, is still living there with no plans of ever going anywhere else
