“I am moved, as well as deeply grateful, for the services that you have performed on both continents and that you are carrying out in teaching the Cause of Bahá'u'lláh. You have set an example that will be followed by generations to come and have performed such deeds as will be praised by posterity. I will continue to pray for the success of your work.” These words of Shoghi Effendi clearly express the repercussion that the life of Virginia Orbison had for the opening and advancement of the Faith in various countries of South America (Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru) and Europe (Spain, Portugal and Luxembourg ). Of American origin, Virginia Orbison had contact with some believers in the California of her adoption. At the age of 26, during a Bahá'í school celebration, and after deep personal investigation, she declared her faith in the Blessed Beauty. From then on, and until the end of her days, she devoted her life to teaching and serving as a pioneer. This book recalls, in a simple way, the life of a tireless and firm woman, willing and obedient to the Guardian and the Institutions. The events detailed and the manner in which they transpired give a picture of the depth of her love for Bahá'u'lláh and the Cause of God and her earnest desire to teach as a pioneering and traveling teacher, while serving to understand the circumstances in which the advancement of the Faith took place in the various countries in which he lived. In a story full of endearing experiences that outline the image of the tree that she herself planted and helped grow.
