Abstract: Woodward, who became a member of the Bahá'í Faith in 1962, uses the story of his ten comedy years to bring attention to atrocity, the ongoing occurrence of shameful injustice in Iran, aimed at one of the world’s many suffering minorities. The book, Comedy in Hawai‘i; Tragedy in Tihrán, is designed to make more public a wrong that the international community considers an outrage.
