In 1911, Robert Baden-Powell initiated the Boy Scout movement for character training; he was thus the first Scoutmaster. In the same year, 'Abdu'l-Bahá, known to the Bahá'í world as "the Master" for having mastered and exemplified all the Bahá'í virtues, visited England and America to spread the teachings of the Bahá'í Faith. This booklet briefly describes the beginnings and ideals of the Scouting movement in parallel with the life of 'Abdu'l-Bahá, then compiles selected words of 'Abdu'l-Bahá in connection with the Scout Oath and Law. This booklet would thus be of interest to any Bahá'í involved with or interested in Scouting, and any scout interested in knowing more about the Bahá'í Faith. Based on these universal values, everyone involved with or interested in the character development of youth would find this compilation edifying.
