Laura Clifford Barney, the translator and compiler, visited `Abdu'l-Baháin the Holy Land between 1904 and 1906, putting to him a variety of questions on Christian, philosophical and doctrinal subjects. The answers, which `Abdu'l-Bahá gave "in my tired moments", make one of the unique volumes of scripture in the corpus of the world's religious literature.
