Martha Root and China - San Francisco, CA 1 Plus Books 2022 - 279 p. illus.

Martha Root (1872-1939) was an important early Bahá'í Faith and communicator, and after her death was revered as "Holy Hand". China is an important stop on her global transmission journey. The author crawled and sorted out clues from the vast ocean of Chinese and English newspapers and periodicals, and clarified the specific itinerary, daily life and teaching activities of Ruth's trip to China; especially her exchanges and cooperation with Chinese intellectuals and Chinese and English media. Due to the close relationship between Esperanto and Bahá'ís, this book also for the first time combs the dissemination of Esperanto in China in the early 20th century, as well as Hu Shi, Hu Yuzhi, Cai Yuanpei, Zhou brothers, Yu Daoquan, Chen Yuan, Feng Shengsan Support and promote the Esperanto movement.
