Deutschland gehörte zu den ersten Ländern weltweit, in denen die Bahá'í-Religion Fuß fassen konnte, neben dem Iran, dem Osmanisches Reich, Indien, Burma, Ägypten, den Vereinigen Staaten von Amerika, dem Vereinigten Königreich von Großbritannien und Frankreich. Der Besuch 'Abdu'l-Bahás im Jahr 1913 gab der noch jungen Gemeinde Auftrieb und Inspiration. In den wirren Jahren vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg kamen teils mehrere Hundert Menschen zu seinen Ansprachen an den verschiedenen Orten in Stuttgart und Umgebung und ließen sich für Frieden, Abrüstung und Versöhnung zwischen den Kulturen begeistern. Die dreizehn Tage im damaligen Königreich Württemberg waren von Anfang an aber auch für 'Abdu'l-Bahá von großer Freude geprägt. Denn zum ersten Mal erlebt er in Württemberg die Schönheit des europäischen Frühlings mit seinen bewaldeten Hügeln, Tälern und blühenden Gärten. Immer wieder betonte er, wie schön diese Jahreszeit, die Landschaft und die Natur seien - und oft spielte er darauf an, dass der jahreszeitliche Frühling um ihn herum sich im geistigen Frühling einer neuen Offenbarung Gottes spiegele. In dieser Broschüre gibt der Autor Guido Ettlich ("Konsul Albert Schwarz") Auskunft über die Schauplätze seines Besuches und ihre Bedeutung, die sie bis heute für die deutsche Bahá'í-Gemeinde haben. Der Autor schildert historische Begebenheiten und veröffentlicht Eindrücke, die uns 'Abdu'l-Bahá und seine Gastgeber hinterlassen haben. Das macht diese Broschüre zu einem unersetzlichen Reiseführer auf den Spuren 'Abdu'l-Bahás in Deutschland.
Germany was among the first countries in the world where the Bahá'í Faith gained a foothold, along with Iran, the Ottoman Empire, India, Burma, Egypt, the United States of America, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and France. The visit of 'Abdu'l-Bahá in 1913 gave impetus and inspiration to the fledgling community. In the turbulent years before the First World War, several hundred people sometimes came to his speeches at various locations in Stuttgart and the surrounding area and were enthusiastic about peace, disarmament and reconciliation between cultures. From the very beginning, the thirteen days in the then Kingdom of Württemberg were also marked by great joy for 'Abdu'l-Bahá. Because for the first time in Württemberg he experiences the beauty of the European spring with its wooded hills, valleys and blooming gardens. Again and again he emphasized how beautiful this season, the landscape and nature were - and he often alluded to the fact that the seasonal spring around him was reflected in the spiritual spring of a new revelation of God. In this brochure, the author Guido Ettlich ("Consul Albert Schwarz") provides information about the scenes of his visit and their importance, which they still have for the German Bahá'í community today.
