The Conflict Resolution Movement

The study and practice of conflict resolution has become a remarkable worldwide social movement in recent years. Legislation creating conflict resolution programs -- writing into law new forms for resolving conflict that are fundamentally different from existing centuries-old models -- has been enacted in virtually every nation since the late 1980s. The author reviews the history of conflict resolution, surveys contemporary legislation worldwide, and analyses the the movement. Its strength results from a steady dissemination of spiritual principles designed for forging world unity, proclaimed by Bahá'u'lláh.
