<br/><br/> The papers document Hayden's career as a poet and educator, and also his Bahá'í activities.  They include correspondence, poetry drafts, literary materials, and printed matter.  With Hayden's papers are those of Gladys and Richard Scott, and Richard Swanston ; also records of _Counterpoise_ and the Student Publications Board of Fisk University.  The Archives has an unpublished inventory.
