El autor estudia la influencia que esta nueva religión ha ejercido sobre algunas personalidades de la cultura occidental contemporánea, entre ellos los escritores León Tolstoi y Khalil Gibran, el científico Auguste Forel, Lidia Zamenhof (hija del creador del esperanto), el pintor Mark Tobey y el músico de jazz Dizzy Gillespie.
Since its emergence in the mid-19th century, the Bahá'í Faith has attracted the attention and loyalty of millions of people around the world. The author studies the influence that this new religion has exerted on some personalities of contemporary Western culture, including the writers Leo Tolstoy and Khalil Gibran, the scientist Auguste Forel, Lidia Zamenhof (daughter of the creator of Esperanto), the painter Mark Tobey and jazz musician Dizzy Gillespie.
