One among the first few to have embraced the Baha'i Faith in Kepala Butas-Penang (1972), and soon after elected chairman of the local assembly. Subbaya pioneered to Sri Lanka (1978-1979) during his youth as student pioneer, thus fulfilling one of the Malaysia's Five Year Plan goals and therefore to India (1991-2006). Subbaya also undertook teaching assignments to Sarawak = 1976, South India - 1978, Kalahandi (Orissa) tribal teaching project - 1978, Cambodia-1995 and Sri Lanka 2002. Subbya's experiences include services on the National Spiritual Assembly of Sri Lanka, State Baha'i Council of Kerala (India) and in his home-land and in regions he served, on Local assemblies, National and Regional Teaching Committees, training Institutes and participation in numerous teaching efforts. He received a B.Com (Hons) degree from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Subbaya returned from his pioneer post in 2006 with his wife Radhamoni and daughter Munireh Khanum, and since then began writing, this work being his first to be published. Given his vast experiences, Subbya sure has much to share with the youth and adult through his literary works.
