The Basis of Anti-Baha'i Attitudes in Iran

It finds that of the four categories of factors (religious, political, economic and socio-cultural) the religious factors have clearly been the most important and fundamental. The Shi`i clerics believe that if the Bahá'ís were allowed to prosper, this would threaten the basic institutions of Shi'ism as well as the livelihood of the clergy.The article exposes the factors behind the anti-Baha'i attitude in Iran.
