In fact, each House of Worship has nine sides and nine entrances, symbolizing that all people are welcome. Baháʼí Houses of Worship are also called Temples, or Mashriqu'l-Adhkár, which is Arabic for "The Dawning Place of the Mention of God." They serve two essential purposes: worship and service.
