Wie zeigen sich Begriffe von Recht, Pflicht und Freiheit in den Vorstellungen von unterschiedlichen Kulturen, die einander räumlich immer näher rücken? Wieviel Freiheit wünschen wir uns in unserem europäischen und demokratischen Umfeld? Und wie wandeln sich die Vorstellungen von Werten, Rechten und Pflichten im globalen Gegen- und Miteinander? In diesem Buch werden religiöse und psychologische Vorstellungen vorgestellt - von Einzelnen und Gemeinschaften. Es geht nicht zuletzt darum, wie sich normierende Menschenbilder individuell auswirken, wie sie Menschen formen und deformieren können. Religionssysteme sind im Blick, aber auch deren Auswirkungen im politischen und gesellschaftlichen Kontext, in Vergangenheit und Gegenwart. Betrachtet werden die 'Haltungen hinter den Fassaden', um fundamentale Ähnlichkeiten herauszuarbeiten und Differenzen nicht zu verschweigen – auch da, wo sie offensichtlich schwer zu überbrücken sind. |
