Después del Islam, la mayor minoría religiosa en Irán es la fe Bahá’í, una religión nacida en ese país a mitad del siglo XIX. After Islam, the largest religious minority in Iran is the Baha'i faith, a religion born in that country in the mid-19th century. According to academics who study Iranian society, the Bahá'ís, in a century and a half, have proven to be a significant social and moral force capable of modernizing and democratizing that country, the cradle of one of the most remarkable civilizations in history. The followers of this religion, which according to the Encyclopedia Britannica, is the second most widespread in the world after Christianity, exceed six million worldwide, and have been oppressed by Shiite clerics in Iran since their birth. Bahá'ís have been and continue to be victims of the worst atrocities instigated by the Islamic Republic of Iran. In this book, Rafael Cerrato, author and Christian scholar, makes a narrative introduction to the history and evolution of this new global spiritual culture.
