500 ## - GENERAL NOTE
505 ## - FORMATTED CONTENTS NOTE
Formatted contents note Professor Cai Degui from the Baha'i Institute of Shandong University compared Confucianism and Bahá'í beliefs about the idea of a harmonious society. Confucianism takes the mission of "opening peace for all ages", and pursues harmony between man and nature by the unity of nature and man, pursues harmony between people through the three principles and six disciplines, and pursues harmony between body and mind by self-cultivation. The Baha'i religion, which was born on the basis of traditional Eastern religions, also has the mission of "human family, religious harmony, and cultural inclusion". Confidence in the goodness of human nature is the basis of its ideal framework, and it is the basis for Confucius, Mencius and Baha'is to conceive the ideal of Datong. This kind of social whole must be based on the ideal individual of moralization, so the setting of ideal personality is the foundation of the two kinds of social thoughts. Confucius and Mencius, their disciples and Bahá'í believers, who have a strong sense of social responsibility, externalize their moral thoughts in practice, and form a society governed by virtue. The realization of the Great Harmony Society under Heaven has many things in common with the conceptual framework of the system. These two different cultures share the common pursuit of a harmonious society. Under the current form of building a harmonious society, a harmonious region and a harmonious world, mining these cultural resources is conducive to the realization of a harmonious world.
