This is also attested by the attention these phenomena received from Russian scholars and diplomats as well as from the general public. While the interpretation of the subject in academic literature in Russia and the USSR has previously been discussed in some scholarly works, the present article focuses on the way in which the Baha’i and Babi faiths were treated in publications intended for a broad audience. |
