Sarah Farmer, found of Green Acre, was the only woman at the signing of the Portsmouth Peace Treaty (Sept. 5, 1905), which ended the Russo-Japanese War. The school will commemorate the centenary of this historic treaty with a number of events in 2004 and 2005.
